Children can discover a lot to do in the farmyard, on the fields and in the forest, with something new every day.

They are also more than welcome to help when the animals are fed and watered. The rabbits are always happy to see some crunchy carrots, and the pigs look forward to having their stalls cleaned out and fresh straw laid down.

The horses need grooming, and the cats and dog want to be petted and played with. There are horses available for riders large and small. And the chickens peck at their grain while the children collect the breakfast eggs in the stall for the next morning. Kids are also welcome to play in the hay, build forts or play football; now, that’s really fun!

And the more courageous can even ask Mr Averbeck to ride around the yard with him on his tractor.

Cows and sheep graze on the pasture, and geese and ducks swim on the pond. And they can be easily seen from the generously sized playground. Complete with a sandbox, swings, a slide and monkey bars, it is safely far away from the street, directly behind the house. The most popular place for adults here is the hammock, where they can lie and gently swing in the shade of the old apple trees.

Toasting bread and cooking sausages over the open fire in the evening, you can even sometimes watch stags and deer on the edge of the forest.

And then, of course, there’s always Landlümmels…
